I am a student at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California, with a passion for civil and structural engineering. My goal is to design resilient buildings, bridges, and infrastructure that improve the way people live and connect.
My interest in engineering extends well beyond the classroom. I actively seek opportunities to learn through internships, university coursework, BIM and CAD design, construction site visits, engineering research, and conversations with practicing engineers. Every experience helps me better understand how engineering concepts are applied to solve real-world challenges.
During the summer of 2026, I completed Stanford University’s Introduction to Structural Engineering and Johns Hopkins University’s Introduction to Python, while also completing a Civil Engineering & BIM internship where I worked with architects using Autodesk Revit to develop BIM models and construction drawings for residential projects.
To document my learning journey, I created Pranavair.com, where I maintain my Engineering Journal and Engineering Notebook. Through articles, project documentation, site visits, and research, I explore structural engineering, bridge design, transportation systems, geotechnical engineering, water engineering, and resilient infrastructure. My goal is simply to share what I’m learning and encourage other students to discover the remarkable engineering that surrounds us.
Beyond engineering, I have played the trumpet since third grade and currently perform with the San Jose Youth Symphony Concert Orchestra. I also serve as the Executive Director of MusicThrives Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to music education in elementary schools. Music has taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—qualities that also shape my approach to engineering.
I am also a Student Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), California San Francisco Section – San Jose Branch, where I continue learning from practicing engineers and engaging with the civil engineering community.
